Soils origin from volcanic ashes (Trumao-black sand ) over glacial

clay material.

With good drainage and profound. Not irrigation. Soils with high

humidity.

 

Vineyard location:

36º 42´ South latitude ; 72º 21´ West longitude. 69 m above sea level.

 

Vinification: The grapes were handpicked in April. They were then

subjected to pre-fermentation cold maceration and later to alcoholic

fermentation with select yeasts at a maximum temperature of 28ºC,

with pumping over operations three times a day for 8 to 10 days. A

complete malolactic fermentation was later conducted with native and

select yeasts. The wine was finally aged in barrels for six months.

 

TASTING NOTES

Colour: Deep red with violet hues.

Nose: Black and red plums with a hint of pepper.

Palate: Silky, slightly sweet tannins, with a fruity, round and long

lasting finish.

SERVING TIPS

An ideal match for all types of red meats, pork and spit roasted lamb.

Serve at 15ºC to 18ºC.
